Or at least it was.

I don’t have a problem with people doing this, at least it’s keeping these cars on the road. They aren’t to my taste, but still.

On the one hand, I think it looks terrible. On the other hand, you make a good point about it being better than it rotting away. Also, it’s not my car.

I’ve come to appreciate donks because the fit and finish on them is a lot higher than stance cars. Also, they typically do a good job on paint, body, and engines while keeping old American muscle alive.

Totally agree - and I don’t think it would be hard to bring it back close to stock either (?)

I like the paint a lot! The wheels not so much. I see these cars on Craigslist and think about buying one and just selling the wheels.

The tricky part is when the over size the wheel wells.

I love donks. Also, we now know where Lincoln got the inspiration for the wheels on the new Navigator.

I wonder how comfortable those are - with the skinny tires and probably reduced suspension travel, is it a super harsh ride? On the other hand the giant wheels might more readily roll over smaller potholes?

What do you think that handles like?

Yeah, I really don’t like this but I appreciate the execution.

A ferris wheel.

Or it might have been an unrestored driver that was ruined?

I have trouble ‘hating’ a car culture because I don’t like the aesthetic. They are car people. I am car people. We can’t be too different. And when I see the work and attention to detail that go into some of them, it just doesn’t make sense to dislike it.

Hideous.
